World Book Day – 3rd March 2022

World Book Day is back again to change lives through a love of books and shared reading, and to give every child the opportunity to have a book of their own. It celebrates 25 years of bringing a love of reading to children and young people.

World Book Day is on Thursday 3rd March and we will be celebrating it in lots of different ways. Firstly, we would like the children to come to school in their pyjamas and bring with them their favourite bedtime story. During the day, the children will watch ‘The masked readers’ and will identify which teachers are reading stories.

We will be continuing our book door quiz, children in school will be decorating their class door to look like the front cover of a well-known book. Each class will walk around the school to view the doors and try to guess the author of each book. The class with the most correct answers will win books for their class.

We will be sending out the £1 book vouchers. You will be able to use your token to buy a new World Book Day book OR you can get £1 off selected books.
